The 5x5 HD lace is ultra-thin, pre-plucked, and engineered to melt into your scalp regardless of skin tone. No awkward hairline. No visible lace. Just a natural part that looks like it's growing out of your head.

Why HD Lace Changes Everything

Not all lace is the same. HD (High Definition) lace is a generation ahead of standard transparent or brown lace. It's thinner, more breathable, and virtually invisible when applied — which is why hairstylists call it "film lace" and why it was originally developed for use on film and stage productions.

Standard lace sits on top of the skin and requires heavy foundation or tint to disappear. Even then, it can be visible under certain lighting.

HD lace is so thin and skin-adaptive that it melts in with minimal effort. Your stylist won't have to work as hard. The result looks cleaner, more natural, and lasts longer between touch-ups.

Why the 5x5 Size

A 5x5 closure covers a 5-inch by 5-inch area at the crown of your head. That extra inch over a 4x4 matters more than it sounds.

With a 4x4, your parting options are limited. With a 5x5, you get:

The Curl Pattern Match

"Burmese Curly" is the industry name for this curl pattern — a defined 3B–3C corkscrew curl with real volume and movement. The name refers to the texture style, not the geographic origin of the hair.

This closure is steam-set to the same curl pattern as our Raw Burmese Curly Bundles. Same texture family, same raw base — which means the blend at the hairline looks natural, not like two different products fighting each other. The curl reverts after every wash. Wet it, let it air dry, and your pattern comes back clean.

Note on Length: A 14" closure pairs well with bundle installs in the 14"–18" range. An 18" closure is the right call when your bundles are 20"+ so the length transitions naturally. When in doubt, match the closure to your shortest bundle or go one length shorter.

Bleaching the Knots

The knots on this closure are small and single — already minimal and difficult to detect with HD lace. Bleaching is optional, not required. If your stylist chooses to bleach, do not leave bleach on HD lace for more than 60 seconds. The ultra-thin lace will be damaged by over-processing. Most experienced stylists working with HD lace skip bleaching entirely — the lace itself does the work.

How to Care for Your Closure

Wash: Co-wash or sulfate-free shampoo. Wash with a gentle downward motion — never scrub the lace.

Dry: Gently pat the lace dry with a microfiber towel. Air dry the hair, diffuse on low heat if needed.

Curl refresh: Mist lightly with water and scrunch. The curl pattern reverts naturally.

Avoid heavy oils on the lace: They cause buildup that weakens HD lace over time. A dime-sized amount on the hair is sufficient.

Storage: When not installed, lay flat on a wig head or store in a satin bag to protect the lace and preserve the curl.
